My favorite apps I use most every day include

  • Insight Timer connects me with courses, guided meditations, timed meditations, and fellow meditators from all over the world. I love accessing a community and this app provides that for me.

  • Lotus Bud Mindfulness Bell I use to prompt me to take a moment and exhale. Literally. I’ve found consciously focusing on my breathing assists me not only with settling into a more relaxed state, but also to clear my thoughts and become more present. I have more enjoyment.

  • 8fit Workouts & Meal Planner is so great that I cancelled my health club membership and now workout at home. I just wasn’t going to the gym. Whether you work out at the gym or work out at home you can’t go wrong. However, try this app if you find yourself not working out at all. There are demonstrated workouts for all levels, developed by trainers, and recipes and meal plans.

P.S. I receive no compensation for giving you my recommendations. I’m merely sharing what works for me.

Given what I teach and what my passion is, I’m interested in tools that assist me in creating a healthy balance. As you consider YOUR favorite tools begin feeling into which ones can assist you in creating your best experiences. That’s what it’s all about, creating what works best for us. Let me know how these work for you or what other tools you come up with!

Podcasts I’m enjoying. Here’s four of my 20 or so favorites.

Email me what your favorites are and I’ll include them in my next newsletter.

  • Marijo Puleo does an incredible job of pulling together information that is fascinating, enlightening, & confirming.

  • sixth&i LIVE has a wide array of subject matter. They’re local for those of us in the DC, VA, MD area where we can enjoy live events including musical performances.

  • The New Yorker Radio Hour also offering a wide array of subject matter. You can hear about everything from Joan Jett to the Park Service to the Me Too movement.

  • Enlightened Empaths is helpful to those of us that feel everything.

My favorite books

As is common, I went through a phase of reading a tremendous amount of self-help, spiritual growth books. Too many wonderful books to list here. However, no amount of books could replace the work of me looking at my thoughts, habits, and patterns and working from there. Books call to us. No matter what books you choose you can’t make a mistake.

Back in 2010, I began the Earth Life Series books. There are six that I know of. These books really resonated with me because they feel right, make sense, and include relevant meditations and other ideas to act on. Here’s one of my favorites.
